There is a growing number of schools in IAPS membership whose pupils extend to age 16 and beyond. This group meets on a regular basis and IAPS is keen to ensure that we support this interest group effectively.

Membership of IAPS
IAPS is a professional association for Heads with around 600 members in prep, junior and pre-prep schools in the UK and overseas. Founded in 1892, it is the largest Heads’ Association within the Independent Schools Council (ISC).
IAPS offers:

In addition to these core benefits IAPS offers support to specialist interest groups. For schools that have pupils up to 16+ these include:
- An understanding of the distinctive nature of all-through schools
- An advisory Board Member of the WJEC Examination Board and links with AQA
- A Director and Board Member of the Independent Schools Teacher Induction Panel
- A dedicated network and group meetings for Heads of schools up to 16+
- A dedicated website page (in development)
- Close links and regular meetings with senior school associations (HMC, GSA, SHMIS)
