Annual Conference 2012
This year’s IAPS Annual Conference will be held on 24-26 September 2012 at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
From John Rylands Library, a masterpiece of Victorian Gothic architecture, to the modern splendours of the Lowry; a magnificent building offering two theatres and several art galleries; from real-ale pubs to cutting edge clubbing; from jazz at Band on the Wall to classical music at the Halle; from fine dining to pub grub, there is something for everyone to enjoy in Manchester.
It is a thriving, bustling city with multiple sporting, broadcasting and educational institutions. In the 19th century it was the pre-eminent industrial city in the UK brought on by a boom in textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution but the modern city has reinvented itself with panache.
