David Hanson, Chief ExecutiveDavid started his career as a teacher in a London comprehensive school. He later became a heads mentor, Local Authority Adviser and OfSTED inspector. More recently David was closely involved with Academies, working with EC Harris and the United Learning Trust. During his career, David has also been Chief Executive of the Teaching Awards Trust (the OSCARS for teachers), President of the Association of Assessment Inspectors and Advisers and Editor of the British Journal of Curriculum and Assessment. David has provided education consultancy in UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Gulf States, and in North America, where he spoke on education, creativity and leadership at the J Paul Getty Trust. David is a member of the Lambeth Palace Partnership.

Julie Robinson, Education and Training DirectorJulie joined IAPS as Education and Training Director in September 2010. Previously, she was Headmistress of Vinehall Prep School in East Sussex, a co-educational day and boarding school for around 300 pupils aged 2-13.
Julie holds a PGCE from Westminster College, Oxford and a BA (Hons) from Birmingham University. She began her career at Ardingly College Junior School where she went on to become Headmistress between 1999 and 2002.
Her experience as a member of IAPS includes acting as Vice Chairman between 2009-2010 as well as roles on various committees and courses and acting as a mentor for new heads.

Richard Flower, Finance and Operations DirectorRichard has more than a decade of experience of working as a Bursar and Clerk to the Governors.
After completing a degree in Systems Science and Management, Richard began a career with the Royal Navy, working across many roles in the UK, Canada and New Zealand.
In 1999, he left to pursue a career as a Bursar, working for the School of S Mary and S Anne in Abbots Bromley, Oldham Hulme Grammar Schools and Sherborne Girls School before joining IAPS, where he took up the post of Operations and Finance Director at IAPS in 2009.
Richard is responsible for day-to-day operations at the headquarters and also offers valuable advice to Governors, Heads and Bursars on a wide range of issues.
