Class Movies

ClassMovies logoClass Movies is an exciting programme unique to IAPS schools in the UK.

As parents you will already be familiar with the long-established tradition of the annual class photo. Class Movies takes this into the 21st century with a 15-20 minute DVD of your child’s class.

The project is already very well-established in Australia and IAPS has secured an exclusive deal to bring this to our schools  in the UK.

How the scheme works:

  1. Your child’s class teacher films the movie over the course of a week. This can be done in the classroom, on the sports field or out on a trip. Subject to the wishes of parents, every child in the class is captured and the film represents a realistic taste of life in the class.
  2. The footage is posted to ClassMovies, where it is edited professionally into a 15-20 minute movie. Teachers can go online to approve their movie, including the ability to delete any scenes they do not feel are appropriate.
  3. Each pupil is supplied with their ClassMovie DVD for a charge of £25 ex-VAT.   Schools can fund the programme directly or pass the cost on to parents. Parents can order additional copies at any time. All ClassMovies for the teacher and school are provided at no charge. Access to all archived material in DVD and web streaming format is provided at no charge.

This is a great chance for parents to receive an engaging, permanent record of your child’s time at school. The children love the chance to show off in front of the camera, as well as getting involved in the filming process and learning new skills.

All parents are asked to give their permission before filming starts. Of course, it is no problem should you choose not to give your consent.
